Dylan is the founder of Dylan Chong & Co based in Kelana Square, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. He works with Associate Professor Dr. Choong Kwai Fatt on tax appeal cases and strategize tax planning for his clienteles.

Dylan is the co-author for Practical Guide on Civil Procedure (2019) with tax expert Associate Professor Dr. Choong Kwai Fatt. He had also assisted with the research on the All Malaysian Tax Cases (AMTC) publication by Sweet & Maxwell.

Dylan graduated from the University of Malaya with a LLB Degree and was called to the Malaysian Bar. He is a member of the Legal Profession Committee of the Malaysian Bar Council since 2019.

Dylan has represented clients in various tax appeals with Custom Appeal Tribunal and also Special Commissioners of Income Tax on GST disputes, defending tax summary judgment, expenditure deduction on Section 33 of the Income Tax Act 1967 (“ITA 1967”) for construction companies, and also tax evasion under Section 140 of ITA 1967 for directors. He has also assisted large sized audit companies to convert from Partnership to Limited Liability Partnership.

Dylan is also a licensed Company Secretary and advised on business owner's dispute on Companies Act 2016 such as Shareholders' dispute, disposal of properties by Company, and Director's liability under section 75A of the Income Tax Act 1967

Dylan has worked with major developers such as UEM Sunrise, Exsim Group, Glomac Berhad, Weststar Property for their residential and commercial projects such as Mossaz, AVA Residency, D’Series Project (Damansara Perdana), Millerz, D’ivo, Zefer Residency, Serin Cristal Residency, Serin Residency. He has handled and perfected more than 300 cases for residential properties which included consent with Sepang, Petaling, KL Land Offices. He also handles cases for probate and letter of administration, drafting of Wills, Trust Deed as well as Power of Attorney.

Dylan was a recipient of the UGRAD Scholarship established by President Barack Obama to study overseas at Grand Valley State University in the State of Michigan, USA in year 2013.

  • Mak & Mak & Mak (2024) - RPGT & Sale of property. Tenant had issues with disputed TNB unpaid sum.

  • Signature Wedding Sdn Bhd (2024) - issues with employee's negligence, suing for sudden leaving employment and for negligently misplaced company's softcopy data

  • BL (2024) - represented an individual being private harassment for a misunderstanding in business dispute

  • LCL & CPY v AWC (2024)- representing influencer to sue another online influencer creating youtube videos for defamation. Managed to secure court's injunction to injunct the defendant from continue to publish defamatory videos.

  • LWY (2024) - represented client to negotiate with news portal on the unpaid debt for supplied of newspaper

  • CSW v JSB (2024)- represented a Preference Share Investor suing the Issuer for unpaid/redemption sum of RM2,800,000.00

  • TLH v KPHDN (2024) - represented an individual subsale seller to defendan the assessment of RPGT by LHDN on the sale of property worth RM3,100,000.00 in Setia Alam.

  • Anton Piller Injunction - represented a Top Tier Accounting Firm to oppose an Anton Piller Injunction for allegation of soliciting clienteles from another Public Listed Company
