Chi Chian graduated with First Class Honors in Law in 2023, receiving the Syed Kechik Foundation Gold Medal from Universiti Malaya.

During her pupillage, she specialized in corporate law but has since expanded her practice into litigation, dispute resolution, and conveyancing after joining our Firm.

At university, she excelled in moot competitions, placing Second Overall Best Team and earning the Best Written Submission in the Bar Council Women’s Rights Committee Online Moot Competition 2021.

Beyond her legal work, Chi Chian actively engages in current affairs and regularly shares her insights through her column with Malaysiakini. Looking forward, she is dedicated to continuously refining her skills to provide exceptional service to her clients.

  • LCL & CPY v Ang Wei Chan -  representing Plaintiffs to sue Defendant for defamatory action

  • Signature Wedding Sdn Bhd v Low Jun Hui - representing plaintiff suing employee for breach of contract and tort of negligence

  • DLC v Ku Yan Tah - presenting plaintiff to due Defendant for breach of trust (partnership)

  • BWP - handled a disputed estate administration matter where a deceased (father) house was in dispute

  • YWK - handled a family estate distribution, renouncing rights for few real estates property and plan the taxations for the family member (CKHT & Stamp Duty Planning)

  • TLH v LHDN - appealed on a tax assessment on RPGT imposed on the election of RPGT exemption for selling a RM3,000,000.00 residential property

  • CSK v Jobstore - handled the civil proceeding suing to recover RM3 million sum of Redeemable Preference Shares (RPS), and also the summary Judgment Proceedings.
