Chan Chen Yee (2022)

Chen Yee interned with us from 01.06.2022 to September 2022. She was third year law student back then, and continued her final year law studies at University of Liverpool.

She assisted the Firm in:

• Subsale, transfer of title, loan agreements

• drafting of letter of demands

• probate application/LA application

She had grown tremendously within that short span of 3 months, She then interned with a famous law firm call "Gary Lee & Partners" specialising on Probate & Letters of Administration matter. 

What is most impressive was that, the law firm (Gary Lee & Partners) asked her " "How come you know all these stuffs"?

Lim Jia Kei (2023)

Jia Kei was another talent that used to intern from February 2023 until October 2023. She was taking CLP exam at that time. 

JK had handled :

• Litigation
  - Drafted affidavits and submissions
  - Won the case of Edric Cheah Shiao Hng v Inspedia Sdn Bhd in labour court whereby interpretation of the employment contract is involved to claim for special bonus [Case Number: KBR11001/2023/0055]
  - Drafted submission for Judicial Review proceedings to support Award granted by Homebuyer’s Tribunal on Liquidated Ascertainable Damages (LAD) [Case number: WA-25-4-01/2023]
  - Assisted in Land Dispute matter to remove wrongly entry of private caveats [Case number: RA-24NCvC-28-07/2023 and RA-24NCvC-27-07/2023]
  - Drafted affidavit in reply to oppose Divorce application [Case number: PA-33-332-08/2023]
  - Drafted Letter of Demands and correspondence
  - Conducted research on Evidence Act 1950; Contracts Act 1950; Companies Act 2016; National Land Code 1965; Road Traffic (Amendment) Act 2020; Contra Proferentum Rule; Stay Application for Tax Case; Strata Management Act 2013; and procedure for Interleakage Complains in Strata Properties

  - Attended signing for Sales and Purchase Agreement
  - Assisted in transfer of property under probate to children
  - Assisted in transfer of property by applying for Letters of Administration to Deceased’s sibling and renunciation of rights of beneficiaries
  - Assisted in obtaining Mental Health Order for the mentally insane to sell/ transfer property to 3rd party
  - Assisted in sale of properties involving low cost consents

Due to the Founder not yet achieving the 7 years requirement under the law, the Firm is not able to take her in as pupil. She then commence her pupillage at Damansara.

JK has been a valuable asset to the Firm, and the Firm looks forward for her return and also to collaborate with her in the near future (if she works in another firm or start up her own law firm).

Cassandra Chan (2024)

Cassandra was a high achiever legal graduate, from Taylors University. She interned and paralegal with Dylan Chong & Co from November 2023 until April 2024. She then stopped to focus in her CLP exam at that time. It is not easy for her to balance between working in a law firm and also studying for five [5] CLP papers at the same time.

Cassandra had handled :

Litigation

- application for distress to recover a commercial shoplot

- drafted the cause papers for a shareholders' dispute on consequential Order (this is a complex litigations cases)

- drafted cause papers for a litigation matter involving Wedding Photography Company suing the ex-employees for breach of contract and negligence

- drafted the litigation cause papers for defamation cases against an Online Youtuber with 300,000 subscribers/followers

Conveyancing

- done perfection of title & charge

- done subsale matters

Due to the Founder not yet achieving the 7 years requirement under the law, the Firm is not able to take her in as pupil. She is a bright law graduate and definitely will shine as a litigation lawyers. She is very thorough in her research, and drafting. She makes a good litigation lawyer.

Cassandra is an asset to the Firm, and the Firm thanks her for her effort and contribution during the 5 months short stint. She progress from intern to paralegals
